Working Girl 101

Sorry for being busy started my Internship already. Although it wasn't really my plan do my internship it was an offer I couldn't resist.  I have been accepted for a multi-national company. I still remember every detail of it when it happened! :)) haha September 19, 2012 I got a call I was still half awake so when I answered it I wasn't expecting so much. Then they asked if I was free tomorrow so I said Yes. She told to expect an email from her today about my interview tomorrow.  The first thing the came to my mind was what will I wear? What can you do I'm a OC freak. September 20 the day of my Interview so I woke up early for my 11am Interview I decided to wear my corporate uniform. I told myself this is it. My only chance don't screw it. To begin with I really like to work for this company. It was my top on my list. I was so nervous but you know what Self confidence is the key. Just believe in yourself and nothing will ever be wrong. So that's what I did. When the interview was done I just believed if it was for me God will give it to me. True enough the next day they called me and told me I got accepted! hurrraayy!! :) I can't believe it, its the thing I really want.

September 25 I went again to the office and gave my requirements to them (which they emailed when the called). September 26 I went to school to fix my Internship requirements and September 27,2012 was my first day!! I was sooo nervous and at the same excited for my new adventure!! :) Yes indeed in every detail I remember.


 I guess it was destined that I was going to do my internship here in the Philippines. Now I feel like a working girl-ish. It's my first time to have an actual contract and yes I'm proud of it. I was excited at the same time to just work new environment proving yourself to your boss. I'm blessed because I never thought that this will happen to my life.

I'm Interning as a Brand Marketing in a corporation/multi-national company which means I still go to events. A different event compared to Summit Media where I was an intern in the Events department. This time I'm interning as Brand Marketing where I handle promotions, events and lots more about promoting the company. I'm pretty excited I have nice co-interns and bosses who are nice and will train you and guide you. This is a glimpse of a corporation, a different feeling I must say. This is what it feels like working literally very tiring but fulfilling at the same time. A very productive I can say.

I work from 8am-5pm I told myself in my first week so is this is the feeling of working. How do people do this? ofcourse I was just adjusting to it right? I mean I'm not used to it but through the days I got to adjust slowly getting there can't wait to work!! hahaha

So why is Internship very important? Aside from a big plus in my CV. It's also a training ground for me. It molds you for what you really want in your career. Aside from it I can see a glimpse of what the company is? the working ethics. I did my internship in a publishing company, NGO and now a corporate I can tell it's very different but all in all i had fun, I learned a lot from my mentors and it gave what I really want. It also gave me an idea of what life will be for me
haha. That's it for now gotta go ready for this time school requirement. I'M GRADUATING SOOONNN!!!
